Hanauma Bay is a beach with a close in reef inside a collapsed volcanic caldera. The cladera walls provide a great buffer from the Pacific surf making this one of the best and safest places to snorkel on Oahu.

Be prepared to pay to park and it is a pretty good hike down the hill to the beach. For those who can't make the hike there is a shuttle service running to the beach and back from the parking lot.
