Noordhoek is a treasure not to be missed for anyone who have ever wanted to ride a horse on the beach, you will find this a mystic paradise filled with suprise and wonder. The 6Km long strech of white sand and good waves provides the ideal gettaway for famalies, surfers and horse riders. The beach has a rustic wilderness feel making long walks something very memorable. The waves are powerfull so swimming is not the best of ideas but the wetlands on the far side of the beach adds meaning to a 6km walk down this strech of paridise

Facilities:

* The beach is easaly accessable from a parking lot
* No shops on the beach but immhoff farm at the far side of the beach has a cute coffee shope a restaourant and some curio shops.
* No Lifegaurds

Beach activities:

* Surfing at Noorthoek Beach: Noorthoek boasts a few great surfspots, the frst being The Hoek (✪✪✪✪), one of cape towns best surfspots, the wave barrels ofer a shallow sandbar forming a perfect tube. Best at low tide in 4 - 6 foot swell. Further along Noorthoek beach (✪✪✪) you will find various peaks which works well on high tide. The quality of it various tremendously with the movement of the sandy bottom. Northoek is also home to a submurged reef about 300 meters offshore, Dunes(✪✪✪✪✪), a world class wave but for experianced surfers only. This ride can yield perfect 6 - 8 foot spitting barrels wich can break you and your bord in half. Further along, more towards long beach you will find an old shipwreck, that of the Kakapo (✪✪✪), where a rarely surfed shore vbreak resides. Sunset(✪✪✪✪✪), yet anouther world class reef, locals here call 10 - 12 foot a small day. the 15 - 20 foot monsters that roll past here make it a popular spot for tow-in surfing
* Sunbathing at Noorthoek Beach (✪✪✪): Can be great on wind still days, although less protected from the windy and misty at times make only for a 3 star rating
* Walking at Noorthoek Beach (✪✪✪✪): The long white sand and rustic setting makes walking on th beach a soul cleansing experience.
* Swimming at Noorthoek (✪✪): Big waves, strong currents and cold water makes this less than deal for the swimmer.
* Horse riding on the Beach (✪✪✪✪✪): a two hour horse ride on the beach where a birds and the sound of the waves great you. riding alongside dolphins is not all that uncommon and in season a whale might come to wave hello
