Country of United States of America

Bordering two oceans with island states and territories, you have no shortage of U.S.A. beaches from which to choose. With south to north currents on the West Coast, you can expect cooler waters in California and on up the coast into Oregon and Washington. On the East Coast, the south to north current provides warmer waters. If you want the real exotic, try the island state of Hawaii or tropical territories such as Guam, Puerto Rico, or the US Virgin Islands.

What you will not find too much of in the US is legal, public topless or clothing optional beaches. The generally conservative nature of the country and the tendency of people to try and impose their view of what’s allowed on others has kept the locations amenable to less or no swimming attire to a minimum. If you want public places to get more of a tan, you may want to try Europe for topless or nude sun bathing.
