Famous for the penguin colony, now over 3000 strong, that decided to make this their home in 1982. This is among the unique beaches in the world. An absolute must for anyone visiting Cape Town. The beach is a conservation area and forms part of the table mountain national park although situated in the middle of a residential area. A small entrance fee is payable but it is a small price to pay for the one of the most exhilarating experience of your life. Swimming with penguins and watching these cute creatures waddle in between sunbathers is indescribable.
