Once a quite fishing village, now a popular attraction. Hout bay is famous for its harbour and yacht marina guarded by the majestic Sentinel, restaurants and curio shops. At the foot of Chapmans peak, this is a great place for paddle skiers and wind surfers. The waves are gentle making it a lovely swimming beach and ever popular with sun-worshippers. Cape fur seals often play here and you might spot a gentle giant - a whale cruising past the bay. A great family beach and a must see for any visitor to Cape Town. We visit Hout Bay as part of our Cape Peninsula Tour.
Facilities:
* Easy Access from a parking lot with ample parking.
* Plenty of restaurants. Mariners Warf being very popular however the food is on the greasy side.
* Plenty of shops and things to do and see.
